This piece is painted from travel memories of a childhood place that has left an impression. I have played with colour and textures to portray this surreal place based on the ruins in the hills and the beautiful Renuka lake in northern India. I have romanticised and adorned it to an ethereal state. As per the Legend, it is believed to be the place of Lord Vishnu’s 6TH incarnation. Lord Vishnu is the God of Preservation of the Universe in Hinduism. Symbolic and mythological tones makes this surreal painting very meaningful at the same time.
